The word “PICNIC” is enough to bring smiles on the cherubic faces of students who want to get away from the confines of the classroom and run free with the wind in their hair.
So it was no surprise to see students from the Secondary section, scream with delight when their picnic date was announced as 23rd December to Lalitgiri and Olasuni. 380 students along with 65 staff members were part of the Annual Picnic. It was a pleasure to see students playing in gay abandon. The visit to the archaeological site and the heritage museum gave a lot of information about Buddhism to the students.
As picnics are also a source of recreation to the mind and body as well as instil the principles of sharing, teamwork, social interaction, regulation and discipline among students, it was a great experience. Students returned to school, tired but joyous at the end of the day.
